Behavior Support Services

Positive behavior supports develop plans that identify prevention strategies when challenging behavior arises. This person-centered approach promotes positive behavior change and improves the lives of participants.

Challenging behavior can interfere with activities of daily living, social interactions, or work. Behavior plans include replacement skills, which guide new ways to respond to challenging behaviors. By creating positive behavior plans, with the help of a Behavior Support Specialist, individuals and their support systems are empowered to work together to achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential. 

Behavior supports are provided under the Michelle P (MPW) and Supports for Community Living (SCL) waivers.
